TIGER Phase II - Collaborative Report The TIGER Summit Report
Collaborating to Integrate Evidence and Informatics into Nursing Practice and Education
This new report provides an executive summary of the TIGER activities through 2008, as well as a brief synopsis of each of the findings and recommendations of the nine collaborative teams. Since the TIGER Summit, hundreds of volunteers have joined the TIGER Initiative to continue the action steps defined at the Summit. Collaborative teams were formed to accelerate the action plan within nine key topic areas. Each collaborative team researched their subject with the perspective of “What does every practicing nurse need to know about this topic?” The teams identified resources, references, gaps, and areas that need further development, and provide recommendations for the industry to accelerate the adoption of IT for nursing.
Evidence and Informatics Transforming Nursing: 3-Year Action Steps toward a 10-Year Vision
The new TIGER summary report provides specific action plans towards achieving the TIGER 10-year vision for each stakeholder group, including professional nursing organizations, academic institutions, government and policy makers, vendors, healthcare delivery organizations, health information management professionals, and librarians. This report outlines how everyone can become involved in this critical program.

The TIGER Summit Final Report
This report provides the context for the Summit, descriptions of each of the activities over the two days, notes on the participant experience, photographs of the event, as well as insights and reflections from speakers. TIGER Summit Gallery Walk Guide
The Gallery Walk provided a view of current and future technologies that are transforming nursing practice and education. Fifteen technology vendors created an exciting, experiential learning activity for the participants to envision the powerful possibilities of information technology to transform healthcare, with a focus on nursing practice and education. The Gallery Walk Guide outlines the technology demonstrations and sponsors for the Summit.
